One of the last remaining great French house labels, Work It Baby celebrates 10 years at the top in 2010. To mark this special landmark they have created this, a 2-disc celebration of the labels finest works, lovingly selected and mixed together by label-boss Kris Menace. Regarded as one of the finest producers and DJ's of his time, Kris Menace is just as likely to get support from Erol Alkan, Soulwax and Aeroplane as he is from Mylo, Sasha and Pete Tong. It's this perfect balance of underground credibility and widespread accessibility that has seen him able to carve a niche for himself as a hugely respected figure in electronic music. As a remixer he can list the likes of Depeche Mode, Robbie Williams, LCD Soundsystem, Royksopp, Underworld and Air as just some of the acts that have demanded his special talents. And as an A&R and label boss he's known for his two great labels, Compuphonic and of course, Work It Baby. Founded in 2000, Work It Baby was originally setup by Kris as a platform to release his friends music, having been surrounded by some truly talented friends! As the label grew, so did his circle of friends and it wasn't long before the label had built up a formidable roster of talent with a strong reputation for first class house music. Over the last 10 years the label has nurtured the likes of Fred Falke, Patrick Alavi, Lifelike, Charlie Fanclub, Serge Santiago´s Trilogyyy and Jaunt. Most of these artists releases became worldwide club anthems and have been snapped up for re-release by labels like Azuli (Patrick Alavi 'Power') and Alan Braxe's Vulture label (Kris Menace Stars On 33 Project). The 10th Anniversary Label Compilation features 35 Tracks on 2 CD's which includes all previous Work It Baby releases alongside unreleased exclusive tracks from Fred Falke, Kris Menace, Jaunt and Charlie Fanclub and a guest vocal performance from Princess Superstar.
