After ruffling a few feathers with his Metro Area edit late last year, Glasgow-based Maelstrom returns, scissors in hand, with a three track EP of sure fire peak-time disco edits designed for the dancefloor. Despite being a relative newcomer to the scene, fans of his output are gathering fast, and the list of admirers already includes James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem), Prins Thomas, Lindstrom, Todd Terje, Rune Lindbaek, Pete Herbert & Optimo (the list goes on and on). With releases scheduled later in the year for such influential labels as Eskimo, Mindless Boogie and Prins Thomas' Internasjonal label, this EP looks to set the standard to which Solardisco means to go on.
