W. Michael Lewis & Laurin Rinder produced many great disco acts in the late 1970's on the Avi and Butterfly disco labels including El Coco, Le Pamplemousse, Saint Tropez, In Search Of Orchestra and Sweet Potato Pie. Their own albums are classics, with 'Warriors' being the follow up to the seminal 'Seven Deadly Sins', released in 1979, again blending synthesizers and slick live instrumentation and sounding light years ahead of their time. Every track is a dancefloor killer, including "Willie and the Hand Jive", their cover version of "Love Potion #9" and especially "Blue Steel", an incredibly dark synth instrumental - over the years this album has been played and supported by some of the true DJ greats including Larry Levan, Ron Hardy, Frankie Knuckles, David Mancuso, and more recently, Harvey, Carl Craig, Daniel Wang, Dimitri etc.
