By day a graphic designer, by night a purveyor of the finest ‘tropical house’ music, Noel Nanton has delivered the majority of his class productions to DNH Records, the Canadian deep house imprint run by Nick Holder. Nanton specializes in organic, percussive deep disco house with balearic qualities. NYC’s Onionz provides an ass shaking remix of ‘Mongo Bongo’, all shuffling percussion and snaking keys. Onionz introduces some vocal licks to keep things uplifting and in turn creates a very satisfying remix. Fans of the Defected sound won’t go far wrong in picking up this mix. Nanton’s original mix is a beautiful piece of ‘carnival house’, all maracas and slap bass and horns. The Summer may be over, but with music as warm as this, it’s a crime not to support it.
